Zigong City is situated in the southeast of Sichuan Province, occupying an area of 4,373 square kilometers and with a population of 3,15 million.

Foreign trade in Mianyang has rapidly developed since Mianyang obtained the self-management import and export right in 1998. In the aggregate, there are 19 national bases of agriculture and by-product industry such as “base of commodities, grain and oil”, “base of pollution-free agricultural products”, “base of production of lean pork” and etc. Meishan is also certificated as one of example cities of cow breeding of the country in the tenth five-year plan, where 71 standard cow-breeding lots have been built.
